JIRRA WINES AT JEIR STATION FRESCO RIESLING 2013 OFF DRY WHITE SOLD OUT
Date tasted:  31/Mar/2014 Crisp and clean; the very low level of residual sugar will totally disappear with a year or two.

JIRRA WINES AT JEIR STATION FRESCO RIESLING 2013 OFF DRY WHITE, James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2015

Date tasted: 31/Mar/2014 It seems Jirra wines are sold with considerable bottle age; this has retained remarkable freshness; while only light to medium-bodied, it has attractive blackcurrant and fruitcake flavours, the tannins silky and fine, oak irrelevant. Good value for a wine at its best now.

JIRRA WINES AT JEIR STATION MERLOT 2009, James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2015

Date tasted: 22/Mar/2013 Developed, but healthy, colour sets the scene for a very attractive shiraz reflecting Canberra’s cool region, and obvious (but not excessive) French oak maturation; the tannins are still present, but in no way impede the juicy fresh fruit of the finish. Great opportunity for a mature wine of significant quality.

JIRRA WINES AT JEIR STATION SHIRAZ 2006, James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2014

Date Tasted: 22 Mar 2013 Very good retention of hue and depth; a wine of considerable flesh and depth, albeit passing into secondary/savoury flavours (as one would expect at this age); the balance of fruit, oak and tannins is very good, the wine a bargain.
